Dr. Kris Blum graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic West, salutatorian and summa cum laude, in 2008. She treats patients with conditions of the back and neck as well as conditions that affect the extremities (shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle and feet). She accomplishes this by evaluating and treating the joints using a variety of chiropractic techniques, employing the most cutting edge soft tissue treatment, teaching and applying kinesio tape, and implementing specific exercises and rehabilitation conditioning.

She is a certified provider for Active Release Techniques ® (ART) and the Graston Technique, which can be used to treat all soft tissue conditions, whether they are chronic, acute, or post surgical. Active Release Techniques ® (ART) is a patented movement based massage system, which uses specific protocols to treat soft tissue structures (muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, nerves, etc.) within the body. Graston Technique is a instrument-assisted soft tissue system which uses stainless steel instruments to break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions.

Dr. Kris Blum is a member of the Bay Area Sports Chiropractors (BASC), a collaborative network of fully credentialed ART® practitioners.  As a BASC member, she provides treatment to participating athletes at events such as the San Francisco Marathon, the Cinderella Classic, and Escape from Alcatraz triathlon.  She was also an ART provider for the 2007 Ironman Championship in Kona, Hawaii.

Additionally, Dr. Blum finds that her own participation in running, cycling, swimming, snowboarding, wakeboarding, hiking, and yoga has increased her understanding of movement, health, and healing in the body.

Dr. Kris Blum has a passion for increasing the functional capacity of every patient, whether that person is a professional athlete, weekend warrior, or a working professional. She is ready to help you achieve your goals!
